Monique Lloyd is Chief People Officer of Urban Alliance, a non-profit headquartered in Washington, D.C. building a diverse next-generation workforce by providing job skills training, mentoring, pre-apprenticeships and paid internships to high school youth and young adults from underserved communities so that they may live a life of economic independence and upward mobility.
A dynamic people and culture leader, Lloyd has more than 18 years of experience in the field of human resources. Prior to her role at Urban Alliance, Lloyd served in various leadership capacities within several market sectors including security, public relations, healthcare, and photonics. In her role as Regional Director for G4S she created a “One Market, One Team” approach to bridging the gap among a remote team, which increased productivity and cut inefficiencies by more than 90%.
As a proud alumna of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, an HBCU, she believes in the power of access to resources and education. Lloyd describes herself as a transformative leader focusing on company culture, compliance, and talent management, propelling organizations towards their future potential by championing cutting-edge talent development and HR strategies.
