McKenzie Reed

Program Coordinator, Detroit

McKenzie Reed is a Program Coordinator at Urban Alliance Detroit. Prior to Urban Alliance, McKenzie worked in policy and advocacy where she served as an exploratory researcher and administrative liaison to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on new social contracts for workers. Additionally, McKenzie supported a social analysis on the impact of increased equity practices in the American workforce. Most recently, she worked with the Institute for Transformative Dialogue where she supported the implementation of community and justice centered programming.

McKenzie earned her bachelor’s in sociology and her master’s in public administration from Central Michigan University. McKenzie is passionate about creating equitable opportunities for all and looks forward to helping students become the best version of themselves.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, group fitness classes, and spending time with friends and family.
