Keisha Powell-Young joined Urban Alliance in October 2023 as the College and Career Services Manager in the Detroit region. Keisha is a Detroit native and graduate of Oakland University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in May 2004. Keisha’s professional career spans over 15 years with experience in various industries including Nonprofit, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Advertising, and Training and Development.

Keisha is extremely passionate about helping individuals from all walks of life tap into their strengths and passions and what drives them to reach their full potential. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with the youth in the Detroit region by preparing them for post-secondary success and helping them to achieve their goals and make a difference in the world around them.

Outside of work she enjoys discovering new brunch locations, traveling, crafting, spending time with her family and friends, her Sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and her two dogs Karter and Katy.
