Kwasi Mitchell is the Deloitte US Managing Principal—Growth & Purpose, leading overall
client experience by bringing the breadth of Deloitte’s service capabilities and assets to the
market to deepen client relationships and foster innovative growth opportunities across
businesses and industries. Kwasi is also responsible for overseeing Deloitte’s purpose
ambitions to make a positive impact through social impact investments and commitments
across sustainability, equity, and trust, and embedding purpose into Deloitte’s
differentiated market offerings to help drive purpose-led business value and growth.

Throughout his career, Kwasi has successfully integrated teams to promote collaboration
and innovation, driving both business and social progress. He established Deloitte’s first
Purpose Office which focused on allocating substantial resources to address complex
societal issues through social impact efforts across sustainability, equity, and trust.
Additionally, he has supported clients in various leadership capacities within Deloitte
Consulting LLP, including positions in Human Capital, and serving as the former
Government & Public Services Strategy Leader.

Kwasi also serves as the Deloitte Global Chief Sustainability Officer, collaborating with
leaders across the network of Deloitte Global and Member Firms, as well as an ecosystem
of stakeholders externally, to further Deloitte Global’s sustainability commitments.

Kwasi has a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Northwestern and an MBA from Drexel
University. Today, he sits on several national and global nonprofit boards working to build
a more equitable society. Kwasi lives in Washington, D.C., with his lovely wife, Kathleen
