Shayla Jones is one of the Internship Program Leads for the Greater DC location of Urban Alliance. She graduated from Penn State University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies, while also receiving a minor in rehabilitation and human services. In May of 2023, she received her master’s from McDaniel College in human service management. In addition, she is a Spring 19 initiate of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. where she served as the Vice President for two years. Before starting with Urban Alliance, Shayla worked as a Family Based Mental Health Worker in Pennsylvania and as a Residential House Manager for individuals with disabilities in Maryland. She is a proud advocate for the youth in her community and hopes to encourage students to always believe in their capabilities.
