Tyran Omary
Chief Program Officer
Tyran Omary is Chief Program Officer for Urban Alliance, a non-profit headquartered in Washington, D.C. building a diverse next-generation workforce by providing job skills training, mentoring, pre-apprenticeships and paid internships to high school youth and young adults from underserved communities so that they may live a life of economic independence and upward mobility.
She joined Urban Alliance in June 2012 and has held many positions within the organization, working for both DC region and the national office. In 2024, she transitioned from the National Director of Programs to the Chief Program Officer role.
Omary has more than 20 years of experience working in the field of youth development. Prior to Urban Alliance, she worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago in their Teen REACH Program, The Children’s Aid Society with their Scholarship and College Guidance Program, and Futures and Options with their Internship and Career Development Program.
