Yaritza Sandoval

Yaritza joined Urban Alliance in December 2021 as the Director of External Partnerships for the Chicago region.
Before joining Urban Alliance, Yaritza was part of the founding team at Cradles to Crayons where she built more than 50 partnerships with other community-based organizations in efforts to distribute essential items to more than 500,000 Chicagoland kids since its inception. After leading their network of community partners and the signature program as the Manager of Partner Relations, Yaritza became the Associate Director of Community Engagement and part of the market leadership team. In this role, she mobilized thousands of community members from a cross-section of industries in high-impact volunteering and collection drive initiatives to not only raise financial and product donations but to raise visibility of the mission and their platform.
Yaritza is a first-generation college graduate from Northwestern University where she studied Latinx Studies and Environmental Policy and Culture. She currently volunteers as an academic tutor in the Austin community through the nonprofit, Cluster Tutoring. She is an active member of the Puerto Rican Agenda and was part of the inaugural Community Leadership Corps cohort at the Obama Foundation in 2018.
