On Friday, June 28 Urban Alliance Detroit hosted its annual Mock Interview Day. This year it was held in partnership with the Detroit Pistons who generously hosted the event providing our students with the unique opportunity to see their space.
More than 20 volunteers participated representing companies including: Washtenaw Community College, City Shield Security Services, Southeastern Michigan Health Association (SEMHA), Detroit Public Schools Community District, DSHRM and Flagstar, Henry Ford Health, BESA Detroit, Detroit Edison Public School, Matick Auto Group, TRVFIT Detroit, Mike Morse Law Firm, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, Northern Blends | Buff City Soap, Bandyland, LLC, Aramark/Granduer Hospitality, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, 2 Times Focus, and DTE Energy.
The Mock Interview Day offers our students a way to test out their skills they’ve been honing in our workforce development workshops and prepare for real-life interviews beyond high school with mentors and leaders in our business community.
